Cheaper than therapy

All about me.

I was born and brought up on the Wirral but moved away to go to uni, met a boy, fell in love and never came home. (Obviously not literally, we visited and things but I haven’t lived here since I was 18).
I have worked as a waitress, care assistant, teacher, nanny, babysitter, personal advisor for young people in care and, most recently as an Assistant Team Manager for that same service.
The common theme in all of these jobs is people and caring for and about people. I love it!

My husband and I were living in Surrey but, with our second baby on the way we- me in particular, felt that I needed to be closer to home where my mum, sister and friends would be around.

I left my job as an Assistant Team Manager of a care leaving service (a job I loved) and now really don’t know what I will do for a job, when I will go back to work and how any of that will work around our two girls….I am currently dreaming up weird and wonderful ways in which I can pay my way at home whilst being there as much as possible! I am absolutely thrilled to have moved back to the Wirral and love being so close to my friends and family.

My husband is working 3 days a week in Bristol which is pretty hard for us both but, that is the way it is, for now at least, and we are coping… You will see how well in the pages of this blog and I will always welcome your comments.

I will be writing about my life as a mother of two, where we go, what we do, how I muddle through day-to-day whilst my husband works away and why everyone needs to know my opinions and general bugbears on issues as diverse as celebrity culture, religion and- most important of all I feel, why the weirdo on the bus always sits next to me!

What you will find on this blog:

*Strong opinions which, on occasion will probably be quite harsh.
*Me having to eat humble pie as a result of afore-mentioned opinions
*Ramblings and ponderings which serve little purpose other than to get them out of my own head.

The purpose of this blog is quite simple really; I will obviously write a hilarious blog about how I stumble from one cooking or houswifery disaster to the next. It will quickly gain cult status for its quick wit and insightful messages and I will be bombarded by offers from advertisers, sponsors, TV execs etc etc.
However, should this inexplicably not happen, I will use this blog as a sort of free therapy- somewhere to rant and offload and share my journey to becoming a fully fledged ‘grown up’- the blog could be quite a long runner as I am some way off this currently.

So, if you are wanting to advertise to the person who reads this blog don’t hesitate to get in touch.

If you are a PT, just starting out and in need of a project who will write up how brilliant you are in exchange for free sessions; pick up the phone.

If you are a restaurant, bar or business on the Wirral who wants me to cast my totally untrained but exceptionally harsh eye over your company- I’m your gal.

If on the other hand you are also a mum who sometimes leaves the house smelling of vom with a hint of impulse or who thinks that one of THE best things about having kids is that you are allowed to have fish fingers and waffles in your freezer- welcome to my world! I think you’re going to like it.
